Journalists start to crowd IORA Media Center

Jakarta, IORA – Press starts to crowd the Media Center of Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) Summit in Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Sunday (5/3).


Media start to prepare to cover the first activity which is scheduled to start from 08:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Today’s scheduled activity is the Senior Official Meeting (SOM).


Some topics to be discussed are the declaration consideration draft against extremist anarchy; the finalization of IORA Action Plan; IORA Concord; and the preparation of ministerial level meeting on Monday (6/3).


To assure the activities run smoothly without any obstacles, the Minister of Communication and Information Technology will inspect the media center. “Minister will come at about 09:00—10:00 a.m., “ said the IORA Media Center head organizer Selamatta Sembiring at the Press Conference Room in JCC Jakarta.


Earlier, Minister Rudiantara inspected the media center on Saturday (3/4) at 10:00 p.m. to check its readiness.


In his visit, Minister Rudiantara coordinated the details with the organizing committee. He also took the opportunity to try some equipment in the media center. Up to Sunday night (3/4), there were 300 journalists from Indonesia and other countries who would cover the Indian Ocean Rim Association Conference which will be held on March 5—7, 2017.
