Jakarta, IORA – President Joko Widodo chaired the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) Leaders’ Summit at the Assembly Hall Building 1 and 2 of the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Tuesday (3/7).
There were 8 sessions arranged by the ministers at the ministerial level meeting held last Monday (3/6). It is expected that the meeting can finish the agenda on the final day of the IORA Leaders’ Summit.
On the occasion, the President gave an opportunity to the heads of states to provide suggestions related to the eight discussed agenda.
After waiting more or less one minute and no suggestion, the President immediately opened the public debate meeting which is closed to the media.
Furthermore, the President handed over the meeting to South African President Jacob Zuma and Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to chair the general meeting. “I hand over the meeting on the general session to South African President and Australian Prime Minister as members of the IORA troika,” said the President.
