Jakarta, IORA – Trade Exhibition becomes a part of the event series of IORA Summit 2017 Event series in Jakarta Convention Center, Senayan. Carrying the theme “Indonesia: Source of Natural and Creative Product”, the event which is held for 3 days parallel with IORA Summit 2017 can be a chance for Indonesia to improve the opportunity of domestic product export to the IORA member states.
Trade Exhibition which has started since March 5, 2017, is followed by a number of ministries or institutions, associations, and other companies that open booths in the exhibition area. Some of them are Ministry of Trade, Investment Coordinating Board, Ministry of Tourism, Creative Economy Agency, Mustika Ratu, BioFarma, Pulau Sambu, Sinar Mas, Sarinah, Indonesia Coffee Corner, and so on. Each booth exhibits several products originally processed in Indonesia and other creative crafting as trade promotion.
The area of 100 square meters along function Hall A JCC is filled with 20 company booths. The Director General of National Export Development, Ministry of Trade said, “They are potential companies to export to IORA member states.” They are domestic companies with high quality products which are ready to compete in the international level, especially IORA Member States.
Among those 20 booths, the Ministry of Trade booth is the biggest. Inside the booth, the visitors can see several products of a number of industries, starting from strategic industries such as state-owned aircraft manufacturer PT Dirgantara Indonesia, land systems and weapons maker PT Pindad, and shipyard PT PAL, as well as food and beverages industry and craft and accessories industry. The booth of Creative Economy Agency also steals the attention as it uses the contemporary designed concept with artistic wooden art as well as handmade products that makes the booths really eye catching. The booth also displays home utensils such as ceramic plates, chairs, decorative lights, accessories, and electronic devices such as radio made of mahogany. This decoration really gives contemporary and classic impression at the same time. Products being displayed in the booth of Creative Economy Agency are selectively chosen from the curation.
Besides those two booths, coffee corner becomes one of the most visited ones. Free coffee offer definitely attracts the visitors who come and go during the tight schedule of IORA Summit 2017 agenda. Head of subdivision, Directorate of the Development of Foreign Market, Creative Economy Agency, Betty Anita explains that during the IORA Summit, visitors enthusiasm towards the Trade Exhibiton is relatively high. Not only do they see around, they are also interested to buy the displayed products. “Creative Economy Agency really has the intention to promote these Indonesian products,” Betty ended her statement.
